It was closed on the day we visited so can comment on the house. We walked around the grounds and parkland and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not to taxing although I wouldn't take young children who might run ahead because there are some sheer drops into the glen. Some areas were already fenced off due to safety issues

Lots of well marked paths, ample free parking. Paths are stoney, boggy and sloped in areas so sturdy footwear best worn. Short loops or longer hill walks up Brown Hill, Merikle Hill and others. Lovely view from the hill tops looking out to Loch Lomond.

Great place for a visit nice walks. Friday and Sat serve lunch which is very reasonable. Beautiful building with amazing decor in dining room. Staff always well mannered and polite. Not dog friendly which is a pity but I'm sure there is a takeaway option. Great views

They have defined and well marked and maintained woodland paths. Excellent for fresh air and exercise. Path difficulties vary so something for everyone.

Great area lovely dog walks but avoid tea room - we had a scone and clotted cream - scone was a sponge cake and cream needed a magnifying glass to locate it - the coffee was awful - we had to queue for this - there were 2 girls on and appeared to be stressed out with 6 tables

Awesome house in the middle of nowhere; you will find it following the circular path around this house, starting from the train station, and 40 min far from it, being 2h the total route. The house is surrounded by horses farms so the chances to see people riding this amazing animals are really high. 100% recommended to stop by and click some pics.

Brilliant views and excellent walking areas. Great for family outings and treks up the Lang Craigs. Excellent tea room with delicious food and fantastic service. The interior of the house is quite astonishing; especially the ceiling of the Angel Room where the tea room is located.
